Ba-it in Filipino means “good”, “gentle”, or “kind”.
When he was a kitten Ba-it got separated from his siblings and ended up on the other side of the house far away from their usual sleeping place. When I found him, alone and afraid, he was so relieved to be rescued and delivered back to his sister and brother. I don’t know if it was that little rescue that did it, but ever since then, among all his siblings, Ba-it has been the friendliest towards humans.
Some time ago, Ba-it moved out to live with the neighbors. I guess he decided it was getting too crowded here, which makes me sad but also happy that he found a nice home. He still comes over once in a while, he lives just across the street.
