VIDEO: A timelapse video of me painting KAT.

Kat’s fur-dad writes: “We named her Katkat, because we weren’t planning on keeping her for too long. It was a name meant to be forgotten. I was 100% a dog person; Pat grew up without any pets. But when we saw Katkat crawling around my sister’s front yard I knew I wanted to save her. She was a tiny kitten, weak and starving, but determined to steal some food from the dog’s food bowl. I took pity on her, and at the same time admired her fighting spirit. We named her Katkat, because we weren’t planning on keeping her for too long. But it never seemed right to let her go. How could I turn her away after taking care of her, after raising her? She taught us how to love cats. We have eleven now, but she was our first.”
