Some time ago, I held a raffle on my Instagram and Facebook pages, the three winners of which would receive a portrait of their pet done in watercolor by me. This is a portrait done for Loit one of the winners. Her beagle’s name is Foucault.
If you notice a distinct difference in style from my previously posted pet portraits, it’s because for this piece I switched from cold-pressed paper to hot-pressed paper. This made it easier to use finer brush strokes and to work on details. I was also given a very good photo reference, which I used to produce a mock-up that served as a guide.
